Foreign trade situation of Azerbaijan in the first half of 2019

According to Azerbaijan Customs statistics, from January to June 2019, the total foreign trade volume of Afghanistan was 16.995 billion US dollars. Among them, the export value was 9.979 billion US dollars, an increase of 58.72%. The import value was US$7.016 billion, a year-on-year increase of 41.28%. The surplus was $2.963 billion.
From January to June, major export commodities: crude oil (76.87%), petroleum products (2.62%), natural gas (10.50%), electricity (0.52%), fruits and vegetables (3.19%), tea (0.05%), vegetable oil and animal oil (0.08%), sugar (0.11%), alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (0.16%), chemical products (0.46%), plastics and their products (1.04%), cotton fibers (0.76%), cotton yarn (0.15%) ), aluminum and its products (0.47%), ferrous metals and their products (0.30%).
From January to June, Azerbaijan imported goods: wheat, vegetable oil and animal oil, tea, sugar, fruits and vegetables, butter, milk, meat and food (10.38%), automobiles, machinery, electrical equipment and aviation equipment (17.85%), Ferrous metals and their products (6.55%), transportation vehicles and their spare parts (7.65%), plastics and their products (2.59%), pharmaceuticals (1.92%), wood and wood products (1.87%), clothing and accessories (1.62) %), fertilizer (0.87%), tobacco and its products (0.73%), furniture (0.69%).
From January to June, A top ten trading partners: Italy (17.56%), Turkey (11.25%), Russia (8.13%), China (7.51%), Switzerland (6.37), Germany (5.29%), India (4.06) %), Israel (3.40%), Spain (2.71%), United States (2.48%).
A top ten export destination countries: Italy (28.12%), Turkey (12.36%), China (6.86%), India (6.28%), Germany (5.69%), Israel (5.47%), Spain (4.27%), Russia (3.78), the Czech Republic (3.33%), and Georgia (3.17%).
The top ten importing countries: Switzerland (14.38%), Russia (14.31%), Turkey (9.66%), China (8.45%), the United States (5.87%), Canada (5.57%), Germany (4.73%), Iran (4.14%), Ukraine (3.08%), Australia (2.90%).
In the first half of 2019, the trade volume between China and Afghanistan reached 1.277 billion U.S. dollars, close to the level of last year ($1.311 billion), an increase of 151.4% over the same period last year. Among them, Afghan exports 685 million US dollars, an increase of 2640%; imports from China 593 million US dollars, an increase of 18.5%. China has become the fourth largest trading partner and import source country, and the third largest export destination country.
