Most of the consumer goods on the basis of imports, according to data released by the Azerbaijan Customs Committee on February 18, in January 2019, the trade volume between China and Argentina was 90.25 million US dollars, accounting for 3.92% of the total foreign trade, compared with the same period in 2018. The trade volume between China and Afghanistan increased by 20.62 million U.S. dollars, and Azihua’s import volume was 87.84 million U.S. dollars. The main imported products were organic machinery and electrical equipment, automobiles, building materials, clothing, consumer electronics and food.
Azerbaijan is one of the first countries to support the ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative. It is also involved in new opportunities in various industries. The ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative is very important, not only for Azerbaijan in the development of non-energy economy. New possibilities will also bring new opportunities for developing countries to develop their own economies and conduct business cooperation. China has become the sixth largest trading partner and the third largest source of imports, second only to Russia and Turkey.
